So there are those within our ranks who dream of skiing and having fun in the snow during this coming winter season. However, for every person who dreams of winter wonderland, there are at least 9 others who dream to be in the tropical beaches somewhere, surrounded by sun, sand, and sea. With snow everywhere in winter, why not dream of something warmer and more relaxing?
And in the US, you won't be able to find something as exotic and as tropical as a winter vacation in Hawaii. Volcanic by nature and surrounded by a lot of seas, the islands of Hawaii are the perfect getaway for the fun-filled winter vacation! The first thing that you have to check out is the beach scene here. Before you even book a hotel, you better check out which beaches you are most interested in, as the area you choose will become your 'home base' as you travel to other islands to see what they have to show. You can start looking around The Big Island, which is sometimes mistakenly referred as Hawaii itself, although the second-largest island of Maui is often referred to be the best island in the state. Needless to say, the culture here in Hawaii is vastly different from that in the continental United States. Since it is situated right smack in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, Hawaii is a melting pot of cultures from Asia, North America, and Polynesia, with the last one putting the most influence on Hawaiian culture. Here you can go swimming, diving, snorkeling, boat riding, and even exploring the volcanoes in The Big Island. The weather's so perfect and pleasant that all of these activities are possible all year long. Best of all, you are away from the winter chills back home! Maybe next time you could go skiing with the rest of those people who would rather wear their ski outfits, but personally, it's going to be the beaches of Hawaii for me. You can talk about...
